Epic Games Releases November 2012 Unreal Development Kit Beta

Mobile Upgrades

The latest release of UDK features improvements to iOS targetted games, including support of iOS 6, Retina display, optimizations for the new iPad resolutions (including the iPad mini), support for Landscape mode on mobile games, an improved mobile shader, and other mobile optimizations.

General Improvements

There are a number of other tweaks to the beta as well:

• Improved primitive tracking
• Perforce Setup Wizard
• Clean Starter tool
• Logitech G-key DLL support
• Keyboard/mouse LED DLL support

The package also includes a free Epic Art Tool, which can help place vanishing points around an image.
