Yesterday at the Game Developer’s Conference (GDC), YoYo Games and Sony announced a partnership to bring GameMaker: Studio support to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, and PlayStation Vita. Publishing from GameMaker to the PlayStation platforms is easy and free of charge for all licensed PlayStation developers.

GameMaker also includes support for PlayStation Network (PSN) features, as well as licensed platform peripherals (such as controllers, control inputs and cameras).

Open beta of GameMaker: Studio for licensed PlayStation developers will be available nest week. The export targets for PlayStation platforms are currently in development, and are expected to be 4/30/14 for PS4, 5/30/14 for PS Vita, and 6/30/14 for PS3.
