Unity 4.3.1 and Black Friday Sale

Unity 4.3.1 Released

On Thanksgiving, Unity Technologies released Unity 4.3.1, which addresses a number of bugfixes to the recent major release.

In addition to several fixes to outstanding bugs, it also introduces some new enhancements to Windows Store projects for debugging and .NET compatibility.

The full list of changes can be found in the Release Notes.

As always, the latest version of Unity can be downloaded for free.

Black Friday on the Asset Store

Slightly more interesting, at least for indie developers, is the Black Friday Sale that Unity has going on in the Asset Store.

Unity has released all of their assets, including many professionally done meshes and other objects, for free! If you havn’t gotten them yet, you can find all of Unity’s own assets on their Asset Store page.

The asset release is pretty damned awesome. I couldn’t find a license for these assets, and the word “free” is a bit overused these days. Any idea how they’re licensed specifically?
